Restoring your iOS device to factory settings from iTunes is easy and as well as a recommended method as it completely erases everything from your device and makes your device feel brand new like before. So, here is our step to step guide on how to restore your iPhone to factory settings from iTunes or restore your device to any iOS firmware(which are being signed) using iTunes.
Download the needed iOS firmware from our IPSW portal.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your PC or laptop.
Connect your device to your PC and make a backup of your device, just in case.
Hold on the ‘shift’ button on the keyboard(Windows) or ‘Command’ button(Mac) and click the restore iPhones button on iTunes and then select the already downloaded firmware and click on open.
iTunes will ask you if you want to restore the iPhone to its factory settings. All of your media and other data will be erased. Click the update button to continue.
Click Next to continue.
Click Agree to agree to Apple’s Software License Agreement.
The firmware will then be extracted and installation will begin.
You will then be welcomed to your new iPhone. You can choose to ‘Set up as a new iPhone’ or ‘Restore from this backup’.
Select the option you’d like. If you chose to restore from backup, you can use the dropdown to select from previous backups.
Click the Continue button.
That’s it! You have a refreshly restored iPhone. Click the Get Started button to view the device in iTunes.
